OUTSIDE MOUNT
- For mounting on your wall or molding - Shade can hide
imperfection by covering edges of unsymmetrical windows -
Eliminates the 1/4" gap around the shade which results from an
inside mount - Makes your window appear larger - Provides a more
open view & allows more light in as the shade can stack
higher above the window - Full use of the windowsill as
the shade is flush with the wall
Measurement: With a steel measuring tape (cloth tapes are
not accurate), provide measurements of the exact area you want to cover,
including any overlap on the surrounding wall. All measurements should be
rounded down to the nearest 1/8 inch. No deductions will be taken from
outside mount measurements. Note: You must add at least 2 inches above the
window to allow space for mounting brackets.

INSIDE MOUNT
- For mounting inside the window recess. - A finished, built-in look
without covering your window molding.
Measurement: Measure width (from left to right) at inside
top, center and bottom of window opening with a steel measuring tape. Use
the narrowest width measurement (round down to the nearest 1/8
inch). Measure height (from top to bottom) at inside left, center and
right of window opening. Use the shortest length measurement (round down
to the nearest 1/8 inch). No deductions will be taken from height
measurement. If your window is considerably out of square, consider
Outside Mounting to conceal the irregularity.
IMPORTANT: For operating clearances, it is necessary to make
inside mount shades 1/2 inch narrower than the inside window measurement
(11 A inch for each side). When placing orders, specify whether or not you
have taken the 1/2 inch deduction. We will then make the shades with
appropriate deduction for the inside mount. NOTE: Min. 2 ? 2 1/2 inch
window depth opening is required for inside mount.
CEILING MOUNT State whether inside or outside mount and refer
to above instructions.
NOTE: All headrails come with 2 end-routed grooves for easy
installation. Mounting brackets and screws are
provided.
