One piece angle tracks

MEASURING INSTRUCTIONS: In order to obtain the perfect custom fit one-piece angle track you should determine the style of the track from the styles outlined below and then provide us with a finished track size by measuring 2 1/2" out from the surface (ex. Style 3 below). The measurement will be the distance between the surface to the center of the track. If preferred, templates of the angles or the actual degrees of the angles are also accepted.

BOW WINDOW MEASURING
INSTRUCTIONS

Measure straight line between AB, BC, CD, DE, EF, FG, AG. And use protractor for angles at points B, C, D, E, F. If angle measurement with protractor is not possible, then give measurement between BH, CI, DJ, EK, FL.

EASY MEASURING STEPS

In order to obtain an accurate finished measurement follow these steps:

  1. Determine if there are any protrusions from the wall that have to be cleared, such as a window sill.

  2. If there are no protrusions, measurements may be taken on the ceiling or on the floor. Measure 2 1/2" from wall or baseboard, if any, and mark the distance at the 4 points as shown in Diagram 1 below.

  3. If there is a protruding sill and blind is to go to the floor, make allowance by measuring from outside edge of protrusion and repeat Step 2 above.

  4. Now, determine where the track should end at point 1 and point 4 as shown in Diagram 2 below. THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT STEP TO ENSURE THAT THE WINDOW IS &PROPERLY COVERED BUT THAT THE TRACK DOES NOT STICK OUT IN TO THE ROOM. (See Important Note below)*

  5. Mark points 1,2,3, and 4 as points A,B,C,D, respectively, and now take the final finished measurement between points as shown above and specify your styles number from the styles shown above. This will be the exact finished size of the track measuring along the center.

Note: If you are providing us with a template or the actual degree of the angles, then we will not require the measurements A-D in style 1 or 2 or A-C in style 4.

IMPORTANT NOTE: It is important to note that in bay window applications, sometimes due to the construction of the window, the track should stick out into the room to ensure proper coverage of the whole window. In such cases, the window will be covered completely, but the track will be sticking out into the room. The track could be made shorter so that it does not stick out in the room, but there will be gaps at the ends of the window allowing some visibility into the room. We find it advisable to point out the alternatives to the customer so that they can choose the one they find acceptable. According to this new measurement guide we only accept FINISHED TRACK MEASUREMENTS and cannot be responsible for the track sticking out into the room or vice versa. The decision will be yours to make at the time of the measuring for the finished track size.
