Inside or Outside Mount:
Depending on your preferences and window design may be mounted inside or outside the window casing, with or without a valance. Be sure to measure your windows carefully with a wooden, metal rule, or steel tape. Do not use a cloth tape.

Inside (recessed) Mounting is most common for standard windows. Measure the exact inside width and height of the window opening between jambs. Factory will allow 3/811 for clearance unless otherwise specified.

Outside Mounting:
Outside mounting is used for shallow window casings, door mounts and custom looks. Measure the exact outside width and height from molding to molding. To overlap the window, we recommend you add 3" to your width and height measurements. No allowances will be made by the factory. Attractive valances, are included at no additional charge.
